Progress Update

More plastering work has been done. It looks like they are on to the finer filler now.

They have cut the holes for the bath tub and spa bath and sealed the wet areas. They have filled the bottom of the shower bases which seems strange? I can’t see any fall to the drain? strange that they go to all the trouble to make the indent in the slab from the beginning and then just fill it later?

It looks like the 3rd pallet of bricks is about to fall over out the front now! There sinking into the mud. Starting to get upset about this!

I cant see any fall on this shower base?

Should there be insulation in the wall behind the tubs?

Again no insulation in the wall behind the tub and no fall on the shower base?

  1. Usually with recessed shower bases like yours you would expect they would fill it and create fall to the drain. Assuming here that Metricon aren't using a pre-moulded shower base but rather tiling?

Re the insulation beside the bath, not uncommon for area's like that not to get insulated, they are often missed, in a perfect world you'd probably like it to be done.. but we don't live in a perfect world....

Plaster work looks good from pics.

Guessing they haven't waterproofed the shower yet?
