Handover Day!!!

Well its her its handover day.

we are meeting latter today to do the handover.

The driveway is being poured today also.

I will publish a large post latter on detailing the process and our feelings on the house.

Progress Update. Retaining Wall.

Well the retaining wall has been installed that was part of my contract. Its one of the last things to be done to complete the home. The bank has done the valuation inspection and the certificate of occupancy has been ordered.

The front door is still the wrong colour but the painters haven't been back to do the required touch-ups so i assume that will happen soon.

Southern star windows have been through and fitted the trim kits around windows to finish them off. Tape is holding them in place while the adhesive dries.

This window seems have been missed or perhaps they ran out of time.

I noticed a difference between the left and right sides of the front of the house. in the first photo you can see that it is boxed up nicely and on the other side its not complete providing a bird nesting place! I have mentioned this to my SS and he is investigating. To me it looks like it needs an extra brick and then boxing to match the other side.

Progress Update

Painters Painting!

The Alfresco celling and the Alfresco beams have received a first coat.
The Portico Beams have received a second coat.
The Portico celling has received a first coat.
The exposed rafter tails have received a second coat.

Its really starting to look nice now

The spar pump still hasn’t been moved and now they have painted it!! grrr. It actually looks a little better painted but still looks retarded stuck to the window sill brick work. Anyway i have vented enough previously about this one.

Progress Update

On the drive by the following had been completed

More dirt works around the house
The portable toilet has been removed
The portico poles have had the header capping added
The expansion joints in the brickwork have been siliconed up


Edging closer every day. I getting excited now!

Progress Update

A little more progress made yesterday including the following

Windows cleaned down.
Window Weather strips installed.
External power points installed.
Down lights Installed in Alfresco and Portico.
Flood Light installed down the back.

 

Seems to be chipped! i will need to have this looked at

A bit of the termite protection seems to be protruding strange i hadn't noticed this earlier.
