Is this normal? about 2 meters of the bottom coarse of bricks in one location is just mortar….. I guess that the stepped down ledge of the slab might not be square as they just create it with a bit of spare waffle pad foam but that seems a bit out to me
The photos i have showing the creation of that part of the slab don't show much.
Never seen that one before.... your guess is probably a good one. The shelf they put the bricks on may not be square and rather than cut the bricks they've used mortar to fill the odd sized gap...
