All selections made!

Well we survived the studio m appointment all selections are made! Next step is a contract signing on the 7th feb.

Studio M Appointment Tommorow!!!

As my Studio M appointment is tomorrow does anybody have any ideas that could help get the most out of it?

Electrical Appointment

The Electrical Appointment is a part of the Studio M session on the 19th any ideas what i should try and do with the $2000 that's put aside for lighting upgrades.

So far I'm thinking to do the following.

Remove standard light bulb from garage and add 2 fluoro lights

Add a power point to the alfresco

Try get some down lights that are compact fluoro's or leds in the kitchen. (I don't want the power hungry Halogen ones)

Studio M Appointment Moved to 19/01/2011

Sweet. I needed to move my studio M appointment sooner to organise things better with the bank and Metricon were able to provide!!  31st is now the 19th!!  That is an excellent piece of news for me!

Driveway

I forgot to mention that the driveway will be a (1 in 6) meaning 1 meter of elevation gained in six meters of length. This is the max allowable by Metricon.

I asked my ss about this and he said that 1 in 6 is fine he said if it has any more though they would need to drop the garage down and put a step into the house.


In someways i think a step from the garage into the house would be a good thing. (stop dust going into the house)


Maybe i should have asked if that would cost more? maybe could have done it and made my driveway like a 0.5 in 6

Sales Accept

OK so my sales consultant from Metracon called today to get me in to look over some things. Turns out while the designer was drawing up the plans on my block as engineering plans rather than the original concepts. He noticed that my plan doesn't fit with 1 meter each side to the boundary by 10cm !!!! So i had to choose between getting council approval to move my garage workshop onto the boundary or removing it!

I selected attempt to get approval to move the house across to the boundary. It will give me more sun along the kitchen dining room side of the house and give me a better yard so it is probably for the best.

Apparently the council cost for this approval is like $1200 Ash expressed her discussed with this price!

Oh an Jim we added the eves around the outdoor room and the living room bit how we drew them up the other day. It only cost $1300 a steal i think!
