I received a call from my SS to say that the plumbers are onsite and would like to move the location of the hot water service as the current location is to far away from the ensuite as a result we would have to run the hot tape for like one minute before it gets hot! So they would like to move it closer to the front of the house on the back side witch is fine and it probably should have been there in the first place.
My SS also said that he has booked in plastering to start next week. This concerned me as i had read about a Metricon house that got plastered before being bricked on a forum and the guy had a lot of problems when the plaster went mouldy and M wouldn’t replace it. I voiced some concern and my SS assures me that the plaster and bricking will be happening together and that there will be no problems.
What do you guys think about the plaster before brick approach? I really hope there is no delay on my bricks or brickie.
(In the case of the gentleman that had the issue mentioned above. The house was plastered and unbricked for 3 weeks. From memory the mould grew through the paint and all the plaster had to be changed.)
Hey Clinton, not a fan of plastering before bricking, look at the weather today.... (monday).
ReplyDeleteDefinitely wouldn't be excited at the prospect if it was my house. As you said, if there are any delays with the bricks then you might have your plaster getting rained on. Although these days the wall wrap does provide a little protection.
