Side Gate And Wing Fence

Well to catch the blog backup to present i will rattle through a few post showing some of the projects that we have done.

the first after putting up a colour bond fence was to build a side gate with wing fence. We wanted it to be built from a steel frame with timber stained on the front.

First problem was that the side needed to be retained so we started doing the two projects together. below are the pictures of the footing for the side retainer. It goes under one end of the side fence.

Lol a good welder I'm not!!!! meanwhile gal likes to splatter and make it hard. Anyway this is the frame for the gate. I fired up the angle grinder and cleaned all this back before welding it again and then painting it.

The finished side gate and wing fence on retainer with some gardens and a path.

  1. Great job on the landscaping. BTW, you know you can buy screw together steel frames for gates at bunnings? :-) Probably cheaper to weld your own though.

BTW, have changed my blogger ID to Jason from Nighthawk (long time online nick name) as now have just started a property blog.
